Damai penuh inspirasi seperti air danau
Indah memikat seperti air sungai
Penuh keriaan seperti air kolam renang
Itu bukan aku
Jangankan keperkasaan air laut,
kesukacitaan rintik hujan,
kefaedahan air sumur,
bahkan kemudharatan air bah pun aku tiada
Hanya satu-dua kucing menghampiriku
meregukku satu-satu dalam keputusasaan
tak sudi ia berbanyak-banyak
Padahal tiada pula ia membaca kitab biologi
Kadang aku merintih saat terlindas
Pelak pula aku menjadi sumber melankoli
Volume air mataku hanya mengundang umpatan manusia
